The Evolutionary Impulse (EI) is the innate drive—an active organizing principle—within all living systems to adapt and evolve into higher expressions of itself. The 3.7 billion year evolutionary journey from single-celled organisms to the rich tapestry of interconnected life forms we see today has been propelled and shaped by this fundamental force. This force manifests as an intuitive pattern that becomes increasingly clear as consciousness evolves to recognize its own nature and potential.
The more advanced scientific thinking says that our Universe exists TO meaningfully and purposely evolve. In other words, evolution is the reason for its entire existence. This evolution occurs from simplicity to complexity and diversity, and toward ever greater levels of individuated and collective self-expression, self-awareness and conscious interdependence.
The essence of EI is that in the face of extinction, all species become creative. Those that ignore this Evolutionary Impulse, do not survive.
